Bosch LHP-60CGE

The Bosch LHP-60CGE EN54-24 music horn loudspeaker is rated at 60 Watts @ 100V. Not only suitable for use in PAVA Background Music & Voice Alarm systems, it carries an IP66 rating making it ideal for use outdoors or in manufacturing areas which may require regular hosing down.

Part of ‘The New Generation’ Bosch loudspeaker lineup, this performance level, 2-way music horn provides high quality speech and music reproduction at high levels ideal for football grounds, sport fields and facilities, warehouses, conference centres, exhibition halls and entertainment industry.

Constructed from glass-reinforced ABS, this modern shaped music horn is light weight yet mechanically strong and with a good resistance to UV.

EN54-24 certified and BS 5839 8 and EN 50849 compliant, the LHP-60CGE has a ceramic screw-terminal connection block, thermal fuse and heat-resistant, high temperature wiring.

When used as part of a PRAESENSA Voice Alarm system, a PRA-EOL or PRA-EOB line monitoring board can be fitted inside the rear housing.

This newly designed model includes a time saving, powder coated, aluminium ‘smart bracket’ which enables installation using power tools without removing the bracket from the horn. This allows the speaker to be mounted on a wall or from a ceiling.

Where would I use the Bosch LHP-60CGE music horn speaker?

The LHP-60CGE is a 60 watt, two-way 100 volt line music horn for public address, background music and voice alarm. It is built for high speech intelligibility and high-level music in football grounds, sports fields, warehouses, conference centres, exhibition halls and entertainment venues. Unlike a conventional paging horn that is speech-only, this “New Generation” Bosch model uses a 60 W compression-driver two-way system so music and announcements both remain clear at distance.

Is the Bosch LHP-60CGE EN54-24 certified for voice alarm?

Yes. It is EN 54-24 certified and specified as compliant with BS 5839-8 and EN 50849, so it can be used on PAVA and voice-alarm circuits for Voice Evacuation message broadcasts as well as everyday background music. Voice-alarm safety features include a three-pole ceramic screw terminal, thermal fuse and heat-resistant high-temperature wiring all of which maintain the integrity of the loudspeaker circuit in the event of a fire. On a Bosch PRAESENSA system a PRA-EOL or PRA-EOB line-monitoring board can be fitted inside the rear housing.

Can the LHP-60CGE be installed outdoors?

Yes. It is rated IP66 for dust and water jets, so it is suitable outdoors and in production areas that are hosed down. The housing is glass-reinforced ABS (ABS-GF): lightweight, mechanically strong and UV resistant. Finish is light grey RAL 7035, matching the other horns in the range. It is a 70 / 100 volt line loudspeaker for commercial distributed audio only (not a low-impedance cabinet).
