The LD Systems MAILA XXL meets the highest demands of power, throw and even sound dispersion combined with easy handling and maximum flexibility. It’s a groundbreaking scalable system for professional live sound applications, clubs and large conferences, which is also perfectly at home in theatres with its slim, cable-free design concept.

MAILA XXL is primarily designed for flown applications but can also be reconfigured into several ground stack systems with minimal additional investment.

Driven by a total power of 20 kW, MAILA XXL combines several acoustic concepts in a unique way: Bandpass subwoofer with cardioid function, flown column module with integrated DSP amplifer and coaxial satellites with line array functionality.

The low-frequency element of MAILA XZL is formed by six MAILA SUB 2.5 kW powered, 2 x 15'' high-performance subwoofers with bandpass design featuring the newly developed SysCore® DSP, delivering a massive and powerful bass foundation.

The hanging arrays each consist of eight MAILA SAT satellites supported & driven by a MAILA COL  full range, 4 x 6.5" woofer, column element with integral amplifer and SysCore® DSP. This elegant column, when combined with the satellite array, provides an extended and impressive low-mid range. The connection between COL and SAT as well as between each of the satellites is completely cable-free via the newly developed SmartLink+® rails.

The elegant aluminium unibody MAILA SAT satellites feature Advanced WaveAhead® technology where five 1'' tweeters are placed in front of a 6.5'' midrange driver and coupled without interference via the SonicGuide® (two combined waveguides). The integrated passive membrane provides extended punch down to 100 Hz producing a classic line array dispersion with impressive throw.

The angle of each MAILA SAT is easily adjusted via the EasySplay® mechanism - a rotating handle on the rear enables simple continuous adjustment of each individual satellite from 0° to 8°. The angle can be adjusted with just one hand, even under load.

Every MAILA system can be adjusted directly on the device or via the free MAILA app (iPadOS) with software updates wirelessly. Based on the integrated LogoLink® Wireless Connection where wireless antennas are invisibly integrated into the LD logos, operating ranges of up to 30 metres are no problem for MAILA under practical conditions. Once connected, the app automatically detects the available MAILA components and enables the system to be set up quickly and easily - including calculation of the SAT angles even before you get on site.
