Signet AKR1
The SigNET AKR1 induction loop kit is designed to provide hearing assistance for hearing aid users in a waiting room. It includes an Outreach plate for connection of an existing public address paging system. It is ideal for announcements in a doctors waiting room.
It is a self contained hearing loop kit* to help you comply with the regulations which govern ‘help with hearing’, including the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) which has now been absorbed into the Equality Act 2010 as well as British Standard BS8300 (2009), the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Care Standards Act 2000.
The kit is based around the SigNET PDA200E wall mounted induction loop amplifier which benefits from the following:
- Straightforward internal screw connectors
- Wall-mounting metal enclosure for permanent installation
- Internal drive, level and tone controls
- Four inputs - microphone; line/outreach; alert (for doorbells, fire alarms, etc) and 100V line (for PA system connection)
- Ideal for electrical contractors - no audio connectors or experience required.
- Meets and exceeds the requirements of BS7594 and EN60118-4 when correctly installed.

The SigNET AKR1 AFILS kit contains: PDA200E induction loop amplifier; APL outreach plate (with paging system input), outreach plate connection cable, ‘AFILS fitted’ sticker.
