The LD Systems U508 BPL 2 true diversity UHF wireless microphone system includes the U508R2 dual receiver, two U508BP bodypack transmitters and two WS 100L lavaliere tie clip microphones.

The beautifully designed U508 R2 twin receiver mounts straight into a 19” equipment rack with its integral rack mounts and takes up just one Rack Unit of space. It’s supplied with rear-to-front cables and back-to-back BNC connectors to enable the antennae to be mounted at the front of the rack, if required, for improved reception.

It operates on UHF frequency ranges 823 - 832 MHz (interleaved spectrum, licence required) + 863 - 865 MHz (CH.70, licence free) with up to 6 systems running simultaneously.

The LD Systems U500 Series wireless microphone sets were developed in Germany and offer affordable professional technology, impressive performance, reliability and sound quality.

An operating range of up to 100 metres is possible, but a 3 step transmission power switch on the transmitter facilitates the best balance between optimum battery life and required range of operation.

The U508BPL2 system is easy to use with an automatic scan facility which finds the best free frequency, and convenient one-touch infrared synchronisation of transmitter and receiver for easy set up.

The U508BP bodypack transmitter has a high contrast OLED display with convenient battery status indication. Low power consumption enables the transmitter to run for up to 10 hours with 2 x AA batteries whilst an adjustable gain function (from 0 to -27 dB in 3 dB steps) prevents clipping of the input with very loud and strong voices, for a clean and crisp sound.

The U508R2 dual receiver also has a high-contrast OLED display which shows all the relevant information such as user name, transmitter battery status, radio signal, active antenna, audio signal strength and radio frequency. Individual usernames can be entered on the display to keep track of active microphones.

To deliver superior audio quality and prevent interference and broadband noise, the U500 wireless systems feature a squelch function and pilot tone which is sent from the transmitter along with the audio signal. It is outside the frequency range that humans can hear, but if this tone is not present at the receiver, for example, when the mic is switched off, the receiver is muted automatically.

Included in this system is the WS 100ML clip on lavaliere microphone with uni-directional electret condenser capsule.
