RCF BM 3022

The RCF BM 3022 is a desktop gooseneck paging microphone for commercial public address systems. It is designed for clear speech announcements in receptions, warehouses, schools, retail, factories and other sites that need a dedicated paging point into a 100 volt line or low-impedance PA system. A cardioid electret capsule focuses on the talker’s voice and reduces background noise from the desk and room.

It is pre-amplified and connects over CAT5 with an RJ45 plug, so you can run a long, tidy cable instead of a short microphone lead. RCF specifies runs of up to 1 km to a compatible RJ45 mic input on an RCF amplifier. The balanced line output level is adjustable. If your RCF amplifier only has an XLR microphone input, an XLR plug can be fitted to the cable instead — contact us for wiring guidance. A 5 metre CAT5 FTP cable is included.

Yes. Up to 30 BM 3022 units can be linked in a single daisy-chain. You can set mixing mode (more than one microphone live at once), interlocking mode (only one live at a time) or priority mode. Priority stations can take the line at any time and mute non-priority mics, which is useful when a reception or security desk must override other paging points.

Yes. A built-in tone generator can play a chime before the announcement. Switchable automatic gain control acts as a compressor/limiter so quiet and loud voices stay at a more even level. Smart PTT, VOX, general-call operation and LED status indicators (powered, live and line busy) are all built in.

It runs from 24 V DC. An RCF AC AD2405 adapter is included and can power up to four BM 3022 microphones. For larger daisy-chained systems you will need additional 24 V supplies. The base is a compact grey plastic console (48 × 100 × 159 mm, excluding the gooseneck) and weighs about 0.74 kg.

It is intended for RCF amplifiers with an RJ45 microphone input and is listed by RCF for use with the DXT 3000 series. Related mixer and power amplifiers on our site include the AM, UP and ES ranges.
