Current Thinking ET120

The Current Thinking ET120 wall mounted induction loop amplifiers (AFILS) cover areas of up to120m². (The coverage area is greatly increased if the area to be covered is rectangular - up to  350m².)

This model is useful for induction loop installations in buildings which feature metal reinforcement or structures in the ceilings and floors as it features a metal loss correction system.

If part of a 100 volt line distributed sound system, the ET120 can be installed in parallel with the loudspeakers.

Front mounted LEDs indicate input signal limit and peak loop drive current status.

Features:

• Balanced or Unbalanced Microphone input
• Line or 100v Line input
• 120m2 square area coverage
• Covers areas up to 70m x 5m (350m2)
• Studio Quality Compressor Limiter
• Wall Mounted for permanent fixture
• Metal Loss Correction
• Secure mix controls on front
• 4A Peak Current
• >8A short Term Peak Current
• Phantom Power on the microphone input
• Two part Screw terminals for ease of installation.
• 0.1Ω to 2Ω Loop drive
• Instructions and Loop Present Sticker provided

Disability Discrimination

Where interaction with the general public is required, many British standards and 'Acts' lay down requirements surrounding access to services by people with any kind of disability. Failure to provide 'help with hearing' is discrimination against the deaf or those with a hearing impairment and is therefore an infringement of those Standards. Correct installation of an audio frequency induction loop amplifier (sometimes referred to as a 'deaf loop') will ensure compliance with all necessary legislation.

In addition to BS7594 (The Code of Practice for Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems) and EN60118-4 (Magnetic field strength in audio frequency induction loop systems for hearing aid purposes), such standards include: Building Regulations Part M1 : Access to and use of buildings (2004), BS 8300 (2009), The Equality Act (2010), The Human Rights Act (1998), Care Standards Act (2000) and The English Tourism Council’s National Accessible Scheme.
