Signet PDA200E new
This new version of the SigNET PDA200E wall mounted induction loop amplifier now features an energy efficient Class D output stage and is much more compact at 228mm wide, 155mm high and 42mm deep - about half the size and half the weight of the previous model.
The PDA200E wall mounted loop amp is simple to install using the internal screw connectors and preset controls. The simple set-up procedure means that no further adjustments are necessary and this unit can be installed even by a novice installer.
The amplifier’s state-of-the-art current drive audio processing circuitry includes an automatic compressor/limiter which maintains the loop signal within a small dynamic range to improve intelligibility. Manual adjustments can also be made using the amplifier’s internal tamper resistant controls for drive, signal level, mic level, 100V line level and metal compensation.
- Small, compact metal enclosure measuring just 228mm wide, 155mm high and 42mm deep - around half the size and weight of its predecessor.
- Features a 100V line input (to accept feeds from PA/VA) systems and an energy efficient Class D digital output stage.
- Drives a perimeter loop of up to 200m2 (14m x 14m) in free space/areas with low metal content.
- Two balanced / unbalanced line level inputs
- One microphone input with 12V phantom power
- Outreach connector allows up to 10 of our audio input utility plates to be added.
- Automatic compressor-limiter maintains the loop signal for improved intelligibility.
- Each input has a separate internal tamper- resistant level control that can be manually adjusted.
- Compression, output (Peak Current 3, 2, 1) and power on (Power) front panel indicators.
- Short circuit protection.
- Internal temperature safety cut-out to stop over heating.
- Wall-mounted metal enclosure for a permanent robust installation.
- Exceeds the requirements of PD IEC TR 63079 & EN60118-4 when correctly installed.
- Also available in a variety of 'AK' Range kits for use in meeting rooms, lecture theatres, places of worship, health and fitness suites, elevators and more.
- In areas over 5m wide with high metal content consider using a phased array loop system instead.
- Made in UK
- Warranty: 5 Years
Where interaction with the general public is required, many British standards and 'Acts' lay down requirements surrounding access to services by people with any kind of disability. Failure to provide assistive hearing devices is considered and is therefore an infringement of those Standards. Correct installation of an audio frequency induction loop amplifier such as the Signet PDA200E will ensure compliance with all necessary legislation.
In addition to BS7594 (The Code of Practice for Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems) and EN60118-4 (Magnetic field strength in audio frequency induction loop systems for hearing aid purposes), such standards include: Building Regulations Part M1 : Access to and use of buildings (2004), BS 8300 (2009), The Equality Act (2010), The Human Rights Act (1998), Care Standards Act (2000) and The English Tourism Council’s National Accessible Scheme.
