Signet PDA103R

The SigNET PDA103R induction loop kit is designed for a small room or office which requires a wall or ceiling mounted microphone.

The kit is based around the new SigNET PDA103 induction loop amplifier which utilises an efficient Class D amp and is ideal for any application requiring restricted or a small coverage area of up to 50m² (7m x 7m). Also included is an APM plated microphone, 6m Belden cable, 40 metres of loop cable and a ‘Hearing Loop Fitted’ sticker.

This compact design loop amp can be left free-standing or wall-mounted using the keyholes provided. There is a 3.5mm microphone input (with 12V phantom power), a line level input and an Outreach socket, compatible with the SigNET Outreach plates. (see related products)

The input level can be easily adjusted using the rotary level control on the front and an adjustable drive control allows the amplifier’s output stage to be altered to suit the requirements of any room and, to help during installation, two set-up indicators (Peak and Limit) and a Power on LED are also provided.

The audio processor in the SigNET PDA103 features an automatic gain control which compensates for poor microphone techniques and helps suppress loud noises, hisses and clicks. The amplifier’s true current mode amplification circuitry guarantees excellent and consistent sound quality for the hearing impaired.

  • Can be wall or table mounted
  • Simple installation
  • Accepts Signet Outreach plates (up to 10 input plates on 1 cable) See related products
  • Ideal for small meeting rooms, council chambers, interview rooms, doctors surgeries etc
  • Phantom power for use with other microphones
  • Includes a 3.5mm microphone input, a line level input and an 'outreach' socket
  • Metal compensation control helps improve intelligibility in rooms with high metal content
  • Adjustable mic, line level and 'outreach' controls.
  • Drive (level) control allows the amplifier's output stage to be set-up to suit the exact characteristics of the application.
  • State-of-the-art audio processor with automatic gain control
  • Limit, Peak, Loop Fault and Power On indicators
  • Designed to be wall-mounted using the keyholes provided
  • Meets and exceeds the requirements of BS7594 and EN60118-4 when correctly installed

Where interaction with the general public is required, many British standards and 'Acts' lay down requirements surrounding access to services by people with any kind of disability. Failure to provide 'help with hearing' is discrimination against the deaf or those with a hearing impairment and is therefore an infrigement of those Standards. Correct installation of an audio frequency induction loop system (sometimes referred to as a 'deaf loop') will ensure compliance with all necessary legislation.

In addition to BS7594 (The Code of Practice for Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems) and EN60118-4 (Magnetic field strength in audio frequency induction loop systems for hearing aid purposes), such standards include: Building Regulations Part M1 : Access to and use of buildings (2004), BS 8300 (2009), BS 8300 (2009), The Equality Act (2010), The Human Rights Act (1998), Care Standards Act (2000) and The English Tourism Council’s National Accessible Scheme.
