Horn loudspeakers offer excellent sound projection & directivity, ideal for use outdoors at racetracks & sportsgrounds but equally useful in large warehouses and distribution centres with high ambient noise levels.
Many horn speakers are water resistant for use outdoors or in factories where they may need to be washed down frequently. Check the IP rating for suitability and if you need clarification please see the IP Rating Technical Guide in our Tech Hub.
Specialised intrinsically safe horns are also available for use where volatile airborne compounds and gases may be present for safe communication in manufacturing plants, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Most horns are designed for spoken announcements only, with a limited frequency range, but large ‘music horns’ are also available for high level music reproduction as well as speech in places like football stadia.
